Legal buildings

A court building must be able to handle two conflicting aspects. On the one hand, it must be open to the public; openness is a foundation of our democratic society. On the other hand, security requirements and individuals' need for privacy and safety must be respected. At the same time, the building and especially the courtrooms must express the seriousness of the court's judicial activities.

Our goal is always modern, efficient and beautiful court buildings where respect and dignity are balanced with humility and openness.

Future-proofing is also added to the complex puzzle of efficient flows and connections. Courts are installation-heavy operations and we always want to build in flexibility that enables continuous development.
