Intergenerational meetings, shared use and community. This was the main theme of our winning proposal in the land allocation competition for Hofs Park in Växjö.

The senior housing block is part of a larger whole together with a preschool and, according to the proposal, terraced housing built around a shared park. All ages are accommodated and can meet in the park.

The point buildings offer an expressive architecture where the individual apartments are expressed in the facades - a playful richness of form that connects to the preschool next door. Wood is the unifying material in the buildings around the park. The ground floors of the senior housing are clad in wood and the preschool is built entirely in wood.

The apartments are intended for the 65+ target group with a strong focus on social interaction. The homes have an increased level of accessibility and many common areas such as a pool, gym and sauna. In the courtyard there is space for both activity and recreation, including a greenhouse.
