FOJAB is looking for Computational Designers
We are looking for new team members for our computational design group, FOJABcode, at our Malmö office. Join us in the shaping of new computational design strategies for the digital construction industry of the future.
FOJAB is southern Sweden’s largest architectural office. The company is partner owned with offices in Malmö, Helsingborg and Stockholm. Through curiosity, pride and personality we create and develop architecture in the form of urban environments, buildings, landscapes and interior design.
FOJABcode is an internal research and innovation group investigating computational design methodologies, with a focus on emerging new possibilities for the built environment, as well as the architects role and business, in a digital construction industry. We work integrated in the project teams for the offices architectural projects, and also with interdisciplinary research focused innovation projects. Through design research FOJABcode establishes strategies, concepts and design language for future projects. The work focuses on innovative projects to develop digital design strategies for the future.
We offer you to be a part in establishing relevant research questions, and developing design identity through collaborative design research. The role includes developing computational strategies, parametric and coded, as well as digital tools from early design stages to digital fabrication. As an essential part of FOJABcode you will be developing computational visions and approaches, and supporting a variety of architectural projects with computational expertise.
We are looking for someone who is keen to push the boundaries of what computational design can be in architecture practice. You are methodological, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving skills. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with good communication skills, where spoken Swedish is beneficial but not necessary.
Experience of collaborative design processes.
Familiarity and experience with algorithmic and emergent design principles, e.g. multi agent systems.
Familiarity with Revit and Dynamo is advantageous.
Interest and knowledge in digital fabrication and hardware processes is advantageous.
