{"id":13949,"date":"2025-05-08T08:29:38","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T07:29:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fojab.se\/?p=13949"},"modified":"2025-05-12T08:06:37","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T07:06:37","slug":"vyn-wins-simrishamn-architecture-prize-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fojab.se\/en\/topical\/vyn-wins-simrishamn-architecture-prize-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Vyn wins Simrishamn Architecture Prize 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Star restaurateur Daniel Berlin's acclaimed restaurant Vyn has been awarded the Municipality of Simrishamn's Architecture Prize 2025. \"FOJAB's transformation of the courtyard is both irresistible and magnificent,\" said Roland Thord, chairman of the building committee, when he read out the motivation for the award.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following an architectural competition, FOJAB was appointed to develop a design concept for a restaurant with an associated hotel and food bar on a converted farm in \u00d6sterlen for restaurateur Daniel Berlin. FOJAB was then commissioned to work on the interior design through interior designer Lisa Mannheimer, in close collaboration with Daniel Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>Since Vyn opened in 2023, the two-star restaurant has been showered with awards. The latest in the line is Simrishamn municipality's architecture prize 2025. The building committee's justification for the award reads:<\/p>\n<p>\"The view has an expression of elegance and accurate material choices in a welcoming atmosphere - locally rooted with an international touch. Timeless, authentic and personal. Oak, limestone, linen and wool are materials that have been carefully chosen to preserve the traditional look of the farm. Great craftsmanship and care are evident in every detail - from recycled windows given new life to site-built interiors and panoramic windows facing the sea. With the Baltic Sea as a neighbor and views of the Scanian landscape of \u00d6sterlen, FOJAB Arkitekter's transformation of the farm appears both irresistible and
