Energy coordination
Energy coordination means coordinating in a structured way all issues related to energy use and performance in a building - from the early stages of design and planning to completion and operation.
We ensure that the building meets regulatory requirements (such as BBR), certification requirements (such as Miljöbyggnad, LEED or BREEAM) and the client's own goals for energy use, climate impact and operating economy.
As an energy coordinator, we act as a link between architects, designers, plumbing, electrical and ventilation consultants and the developer. The role involves:
- Identify and analyze energy requirements at early stages.
- Coordinate calculations, simulations and energy models.
- Propose energy-efficient solutions for building design, envelope and installations.
- Ensure that energy targets are monitored throughout the construction process.
- Ensure a metering structure that allows easy monitoring of the building's energy performance, and that most effectively separates energy items for building energy performance and operational energy
- Contribute to a building that combines low energy use, good indoor environment and long-term profitability.
Energy calculation

- Collaborate with architects and K-consultants and evaluate different insulation materials and building technology solutions.
- Collaborate with HVAC consultants and assess effects of ventilation and heating systems.
- Calculate thermal bridges as they actually are, instead of using dubious standard values.
